About the tour
The Sacred Valley at its most complete: in one day you visit Chinchero, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines and Ollantaytambo, four places that show how the Incas wove, farmed, harvested salt and built. We pick you up at your hotel at 7:00 am and return to Cusco around 7:00 pm.
What you'll see
- Chinchero: an Andean weaving village with a colonial church built on Inca walls. You'll see a demonstration of weaving and natural dyeing.
- Moray: huge circular terraces the Incas used to experiment with crops at different temperatures.
- Maras Salt Mines: thousands of salt pools on the mountainside, still worked by local families today.
- Ollantaytambo: an Inca fortress with monumental terraces and the only Inca town still inhabited, with its original streets and canals.
Includes tourist transport, a professional guide and a buffet lunch with local food. If you're heading to Machu Picchu, this tour connects with the train from Ollantaytambo at the end of the day.
